Al-Mashrab Al-Ahna - The Sweetest Spring
1 #
اللهُ يَا رَحْمٰنُ يَا رَحِيْمُ
Allāhu yā raḥmānu ya raḥīmu
O Allāh, All-Compassionate and Merciful
يَا مَلِكٌ عَطَاءُهُ فَخِيْمُ
Yā malikuى ‛aṭā’uhū fakhīmu.
King, whose Gifts are Boundless,

قُدُّوسُ قَدِّسْ بِالصَّفَاءِ رُوْحِيْ
Quddūsu qaddis biṣṣafā’i rūḥī
O Most Holy, sanctify my soul with Purity,
وَافْتَحْ عَلَيْنَا أَكْبَرَ الْفُتُوْحِ
Waftaḥ ‛alaynā akbaral futūḥi.
and grant us the biggest Spiritual Openings.

سَلَامُ يَا مُؤْمِنُ آمِنْ رَوْعَتِيْ
Salāmu yā mu’minu āmin raw‛atī
O Source of Peace, Inspirer of Faith, relieve my fear,
مُهَيْمِنٌ عَزِيْزُ اِرْفَعْ رُتْبَتِيْ
Muhayminun ‛azīzu irfa‛ rutbatī
Guardian, Most Mighty, elevate my rank.

جَبَّارُ يَا مُتَكَبِّرٌ يَا خَالِقُ
Jabbāru yā mutakabbirun yā khāliqu
O Compeller, O Almighty Creator,
يَا بَارِئٌ إِنِّي بِفَضْلِكَ وَاثِقُ
Yā bāri’un innī bifaḍlika wāthiqu
O Giver of Order, I am confident of Your Bounty.

مُصَوِّرٌ غَفَّارُ يَا قَهَّارُ
Muṣawwirun ghaffāru yā qahhāru
Shaper of Beauty, Forgiver, O Subduer, Giver of All.
وَهَّابُ غَيْثُكْ دَائِمًا مِدْرَارُ
Wahhābu ghaythuka dā’iman midrāru.
Your Grace is a constant outpouring.

رَزَّاقُ يَا فَتَّاحُ يَا عَلِـيْمُ
Razzāqu yā fattāḥu yā ‛alīmu
O Sustainer, O Facilitator, O Knower of All,
إِِفْضَالُهُ وَخَيْرُهُ عَمِيْمُ
Ifḍāluhū wa khayruhū ‛amīmu
Whose Favours and Bounties are all-pervading,
7 #
يَا قَابِضٌ يَا بَاسِطٌ هَبْنَا الْمُنَى
Yā qābiḍun yā basiṭun habnal munā
O Withholder, O Bestower, fulfil our hopes.
يَا خَافِضٌ يَا رَافِعٌ كُنْ عَوْنَنَا
Yā khāfiḍun yā rāfi‛un kun ‛awnanā.
O Abaser, O Exalter, be our helper.
8 #
مُعِزُّ يَا مُذِلُّ هَبْ لِي عِزًّا
Mu‛izzu yā mudhillu hab lī ‘izzan
Bestower of Honour, O Abaser, grant me honour.
سَمِيْعُ يَا بَصِيْرُ كُنْ لِيْ حِرْزًا
Samī‛u yā baṣīru kun lī ḥirzan.
O Hearer and Seer of All, be my Protector.
9 #
يَا حَكَمٌ يَا عَدْلُ عَامِلْ بِالْكَرَمْ
Yā ḥakamun yā ‛adlu ‛āmil bil karam
O Most Wise, O Most Just, I beg clemency.
لَطِيفُ يَا خَبِيْرُ وَادْفَعِ النِّقَمَ
Laṭīfu yā khabīru wadfa‛in niqama.
O All-Aware, O Knower of Subtleties, remove all misfortunes.
10 #
حَلِيْمُ يَا عَظِيْمُ يَا غَفُوْرُ
Ḥalīmu yā ‛aẓīmu yā ghafūru
O Clement; O Magnificent; O Forgiver;
شَكُوْرُ يَا عَلِيُّ يَا كَبِيْرُ
Shakūru yā ‛aliyyu yā kabīru.
O Rewarder of Thankfulness; O Most Elevated; O Great.

حَفِيظُ يَا مُقِيْتُ يَا حَسِيْبُ
Ḥafīẓu yā muqītu yā ḥasību
O Preserver; O Sustainer; O Accounter;
جَلِيلُ يَا كَرِيْمُ يَا رَقِيْبُ
Jalīlu yā karīmu yā raqību.
O Majestic; O Lord of Honour; O Watchful One.
12 #
مُجِيْبُ يَا وَاسِعُ وَسِّعْ مَشْهَدِيْ
Mujību yā wāsi‛u wassi‛ mash-hadī
O Responder of Prayers; O the Vast, widen my horizons.
حَكِيْمُ يَا وَدُوْدُ صَفِّ مَوْرِدِيْ
Ḥakīmu yā wadūdu ṣaffi mawrīdī.
O Wise and Loving One, purify my drinking source.
13 #
مَجِيْدُ يَابَاعِثُ اِبْعَثْ هَمَّتِيْ
Majīdu yā ibā‛ithu ib‛ath hammatī
O Majestic One; O Reviver, revive my enthusiasm;
شَهِيْدُ يَاحَقُّ وَحَقِّقْ وِجْهَتِيْ
Shahīdu yā ḥaqqu wa ḥaqqiq wijhatī.
O Witness; O Owner of Truth, make my aspirations true.
14 #
وَكِيْلُ يَا قَوِيُّ قَوِّ لِي الْيَقِيْن
Wakīlu yā qawiyyu qawwi līl yaqīn
O Trustee; O Possessor of Strength, strengthen my faith.
مَتِيْنُ يَا وَلِيُّ كُنْ لَنَا مُعِيْن
Matīnu yā waliyyu kun lanā ma‛īn.
O Powerful One; O Patron, be my Helper.
15 #
حَمِيْدُ يَا مُحْصِي فَأَصْلِحِ الْأُمُور
Ḥamīdu yā muḥṣī fa’aṣliḥil umūr
O Praiseworthy; O Appraiser, make right our affairs.
مُبْدِئُ يَا مُعِيْدُ وَاشْرَحِ الصُّدُوْرَ
Mubdi’u yā mu‛īdu washraḥiṣ ṣudūr.
O Originator; O Restorer, expand our breasts.
16 #
مُحْيِيْ مُمِيْتُ رَبَّنَا آصْلِحِ الْقُلُوْبَ
Muḥyī mumītu rabbanā aṣliḥil qulūb
O Giver and Taker of Life; O Lord, purify our hearts.
يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّوْمُ وَاكْشِفْ الْكُرُوْبَ
Yā ḥayyu yā qayyūmu wakshifil kurūb.
O Ever Living; O Self-Subsisting, ease our distress.
17 #
يَا وَاجِدٌ يَا مَاجِدٌ هَبْنَا الْأَمَلْ
Yā wājidun yā mājidun habnal amal
O Finder; O Splendid One, grant us hope.
يَا وَاحِدٌ يَا أَحَدٌ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ
Yā wāḥidun yā aḥadun ‛azza wa jalla.
(You are) the One and Only, Majestic and Glorified.
18 #
يَا فَرْدُ يَا صَمَدُ آصْلِحْ الشُّئُوْنَ
Yā fardu yā ṣamadu aṣliḥish shu’ūn
O Singular; O Satisfier of Needs, set right our affairs.
يَا قَادِرٌ مُقْتَدِرٌ جَلِّ الْحُزُوْنَ
Yā qādirun muqtadirun jallil ḥūzūn.
O Powerful and Capable, rid us of sorrows.
19 #
مُقَدِّمٌ مُؤَخِّرٌ كُنْ عَوْنَنَا
Muqaddimu mu’akh-khiru kun ‛awnanā
O Expediter and Postponer, assist us.
أَوَّلُ يَا آخِرُ وَاكْشِفْ ضُرَّنَا
Awwalu yā ākhiru wakshif ḍurranā.
O the First and the Last, remove what harms us.
20 #
يَاظَاهِرُ يَابَاطِنُ آصْلِحْ مَا ظَهَرَ
Yā ẓāhiru yā bāṭinu aṣliḥ mā ẓahara
O Evident One; O Hidden One, make right what we show
وَبَاطِنًا يَا وَالُّ يَا مُتَعَالِ بَرّ
Wa bāṭinan yā wāllu yā muta‛āli barr.
and conceal. O Protecting Friend; O Supreme; O Devoted.
21 #
تَوَّابُ تُبْ وَاكْفِ العِدَا يَامُنتَقِم
Tawwābu tub wakfil ‛idā yā muntaqim
O Accepter of Repentance, pardon us, suffice us against the enemy.
عَفُوُّ يَارَؤُوْفُ سَامِحْ مِنْ نَدِم
‛Afuwwu yā ra’ūfu sāmiḥ min nadam.
O Avenger; O Forgiver; O Clement One, forgive those who show regret.
22 #
يَا مَالِكَ الْمُلْكِ اَعْطِنِي مَرَامِيْ
Yā mālikul mulki a‛ṭinī marāmī
O Master of the Kingdom, Fulfill my aspirations,
فَأَنْتَ ذُوْ الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ
Fa’anta dhul jalāli wal ikrām.
for You are the Lord of Majesty and Bounty.
23 #
مُقْسِطُ يَاجَامِعُ اِجْمَعْ لِي الْخُيُوْر
Muqsiṭu yā jāmi‛u ijma‛ līl khuyūr
O Equitable One; O Gatherer, gather for me all goodness.
غَنِيُّ يَا مُغْنِيْ وَضَاعِفِ الْأُجُوْر
Ghaniyyu yā mughnī wa ḍā‛ifil ujūr.
O Rich One; O Enricher, multiply our rewards.
24 #
يَامَانِعُ يَاضَارُّ إِكْفِنَا الضَّرَر
Yā māni‛u yā ḍārru ikfinaḍ ḍarar
O Preventer; O Bestower of Affection, protect us from harm.
يَا نَافِعُ إِنْفَعْنَا فَأَنْتَ الْمُدَّخَر
Yā nāfi‛u infa‛nā fa’antal muddakhar.
O Giver of Benefit, benefit us, for You are the Keeper of Treasures.
25 #
يَا نُوْرُ نَوِّرْ وَاهْدِنَا يَا هَادِيْ
Yā nūru nawwir wahdinā yā hādī
O Light, Illuminate us and guide us, for You are the Guide.
بَدِيْعُ أَصْلِحْ بَاطِنِي وَالْبَادِيْ
Badī‛u aṣliḥ bāṭinī wal bādī.
O Originator, reform my inner and outer self.
26 #
يَا بَاقِيْ يَا وَارِثُ يَا رَشِيْدُ
Yā bāqī yā wārithu yā rashīdu
O Everlasting Inheritor of All; O Most Discerning One,
صَبُوْرُ هَبْنَا فَوْقَ مَا نُرِيدُ
Ṣabūru habnā fawqa mā nurīdu.
grant us even more than we could wish for,
27 #
مِنْ كُلِّ خَيْرٍ هَاهُنَا وَالْآخِرَهْ
Min kulli khayrin hāhunā wal ākhirah
Of every good thing in this world and the next.
وَزِدْ وَضَاعِفْ لِلْهِبَاتِ الْوَافِرَهْ
Wa zid waḍā‛if lil hibātil wāfirah.
Increase and multiply Your abundant gifts.
28 #
وَهَبْ لَنَا الْحَنَانَ يَا حَنَّانُ
Wa hab lanal ḥanāna yā ḥannānu
Endow us with compassion, O Kind One.
وَامْنُنْ عَلَيْنَا إِنَّكَ الْمَنَّانُ
Wamnun ‛alaynā innakal mannān.
Bestow us with your Grace, for You are the Bestower.
29 #
بِالْمُصْطَفٰى خَيْرِ الْأَنَامِ الطَّاهِرِ
Bil muṣṭafā khayril anāmiṭ ṭāhir
By the honour of the select one, the best of humanity, the purified,
ذِي الْقَدْرِ وَ الْوَجْهِ الْمُنِيْرِ الزَّاهِرِ
Dhil qadri wal wajhil munīriz zāhir.
the possessor of high status, and radiant illuminated face,
30 #
ذِي الْجَاهِ وَالذِّكْرِ الْجَمِيْلِ الْعَاطِرِ
Dhil jāhi wadh-dhikril jamīlil ‛āṭiri
Possessor of high status, and beautiful perfumed remembrance;
وَأَكْرَمِ الشُّفَعَاءِ عِنْدَ الْفَاطِرِ
Wa akramish-shufa‛ā’i ‛indal fāṭiri.
the noblest of intercessors in the sight of the Creator.
31 #
صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ اللهُ وَالْآلِ الْغُرَرْ
Ṣallā ‛alayhillāhu wal ālil ghurar
May Allāh bestow him with Grace, and also his noblest family,
وَصَحْبِهِ وَالتَّابِعِيْنَ بِالْأَثَرِ
Wa ṣaḥbihī wattābi’īna bil athar.
his Companions, and their successors who followed in their footsteps.
32 #
مُسَلِّمًا فِيْ كُلِّ حِيْنٍ أَبَدًا
Musalliman fī kulli ḥīnin abadan
I shall be a Muslim for all time,
وَالْحَمْدُ لِلرَّحْمٰنِ دَأَبًا سَرْمَدًا
Walḥamdu lirraḥmāni da’aban sarmadan.
and Praise be to the Merciful, eternally.
