Glad Tidings - (Bushra Lana)
Chorus 1 #
بُشْرَى لَنَا نِلْنَا المُنىَ
bushrá lanā nilnā almunyā
Glad tidings for us, we have attained our highest wish
زَالَ العَنَا وَافَى الهَنَا
zāla alʻanā wafā alhanā
Troubles have ceased, and well-being has come
وَالدَّهْرُ أَنْجَزَ وَعْدَهُ
walddahru anjaza waʻdahu
Destiny has delivered what was promised,
وَالبِشْرُ أَضْحَى مُعْلَنَا
walbishru aḍḥā muʻlanā
And joy has become manifest everywhere

يَا نَفْسِي طِيْبِي بِالِّلقَا
yā nafsī ṭībī bililqā
O Soul, enjoy the pleasure in the meeting
يَا عَيْنُ قَرِّي أَعْيُنَا
yā ʻaynu qarrī ʻayūnā
O eye, feel comfort
هَذَا جَمَالُ المُصْطَفَى
hādhā jamālu almuṣṭafā
This is beauty of the Chosen one
أَنْوَارُهُ لاَحَتْ لَنَا
anwāruhu lāḥat lanā
His Light shines over us

يَا طَيْبَةُ مَا ذَا نَقُولْ
yā ṭayybatu mā dhā naqūl
O blessed earth, we have no words -
وَفِيكِ قَدْ حَلَّ الرَّسُولْ
wafīki qad ḥalla alrasūl
In which the messenger rests!
وَكُلُّنَا يَرْجُو الوُصُولْ
wakullunā yarjū alwuṣūl
We all wish to be united
لمُِحَمَّدٍ نَبِيِّنَا
limuḥammadin nabīyinā
With Muhammad, our Prophet

يَا رَوْضَةَ الهَادِي الشَّفِيعْ
yā rawḍata alhādi alshafīʻ
Oh garden (Rawda) of the Guide and Advocate
وَصَاحِبَيْهِ وَالبَقِيعْ
waṣāḥibayhi walbaqīʻ
And his two companions and Al-Baqi
اُكْتُبْ لَنَا نَحْنُ الجَمِيعْ
uktub lanā naḥnu aljamīʻ
O Lord ordain for us all
زِيَارَةً لِنَبِيِّنَا
zīāratan linabīyinā
That we may visit our Prophet

حَيْثُ الأَمَانِي رَوْضُهَا
ḥaythu alamānī rawḍuhā
After satisfying the longing
قَدْ ظَلَّ حُلْوَ المُجْتَبَى
qad ẓalla ḥulwa almujtabā
Remains the sweetness of what was harvested
وَبِالحَبِيْبِ المُصْطَفَى
wabilḥabībi almuṣṭafā
Thanks to the Beloved and Chosen One
صَفَا وَطَابَ عَيْشُنَا
ṣafā waṭāba ʻayshunā
Our lives become good and pure

صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ يَا سَلاَمْ
ṣalli wasallim yā salām
Send blessings and peace, O Lord of Peace
عَلَى النَِّبي بَدْرِ التَّمَامْ
ʻalā alnnabī badri alttamām
Upon the Prophet, the full moon of perfection
وَالآلِ وَالصَّحْبِ الكِرَامْ
walāli waalṣaḥbi alkirām
And his noble Family and Companions
صَلَّى عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّنَا
ṣallā ʻalayhim rabbunā
Send blessings over them, O our Lord
